Germany - New agreement in Aviation Security - April 30, 2025

After months of negotiations, the union ver.di and the Federal Association of Aviation Security Companies (BDLS) have agreed on a new framework and wage agreement for approximately 25,000 employees. The agreement provides for higher hourly wages, fairer overtime arrangements, free choice of doctor, and additional days off for special occasions. The determined warning strikes, in particular, made this breakthrough possible. From 1 May 2025, hourly wages will increase by € 0.70, with a further increase of € 1 in April 2026 – a wage increase of between 7.2% and 10.6% depending on the pay group. Other innovations include increased anniversary bonuses and additional days off. The agreement runs until the end of 2026.
