Germany - Negotiation result for postal company - March 31, 2025

In the fourth round of negotiations, union ver.di achieved a deal that provides significant pay increases and more vacation time for the 170,000 employees, trainees, and dual-study students at postal company Deutsche Post AG. A strike had previously taken place. The wages will increase by 2.0% effective 1 April 2025, and the remuneration of trainees and dual-study students will also increase at the same time. A further increase of 3.0% take effect on 1 April 1, 2026. From 1 January 2026, all employees will receive one additional vacation day per year; in addition, employees who have been with the company for at least 16 years will receive one additional vacation day per year.
