After lengthy negotiations, employers and the NGG union at the doner producer Meat World SE (Birtat) have agreed on the industry's first collective agreement. Both sides view the result as a milestone and a strong signal for a constructive collective bargaining partnership. Key points of the collective agreement are a starting salary of €2 ,600 gross starting 1 August 2025; a wage increase in two stages by up to 17% until 31 December 2026; and a commitment to negotiate a classification and framework collective agreement during the term. In a second ballot, around 90% of NGG members voted in favour of the agreement.
