Germany - Collective agreement for metalworking trades - January 31, 2025

A new collective agreement between the union IG Metall Lower Saxony and Saxony-Anhalt and the State Guild Association of Metalworkers Saxony-Anhalt brings noticeable improvements for employees and trainees in the metalworking industry. From 1 March 2025, the basic wage group 3 (100% level) will be increased by 5.2% to € 15.50 per hour. Pay groups 4 to 8 will increase by 3.6%. As of 1 March 2025, training allowances will be increased by € 50 in all years of training. The basic pension amount will double as of 1 January 2025 from 16% to 32% of the basic wage group 3, which corresponds to € 70.12 per month. The new pay scale is valid for 12 months and can be terminated for the first time on 31 December 2025.
