Around 4,000 employees in non-profit welfare companies in Brandenburg will receive more money from January 2025. Wages will rise by 4.2% and the night shift allowance will increase from 20 to 25%. There will also be a higher annual special payment - the Christmas bonus will rise to 85% of the monthly salary. The members of the union ver.di will also benefit from an extra day off. These improvements were already agreed in July 2024 and affect employees of 32 non-profit companies and associations that are organized in the employers' association Paritätische Tarifgemeinschaft e.V. (PTG). These include facilities for elderly care, child and youth welfare, and social services. The new agreement comes into force on January 1, 2025.
