Unions representing teachers have called for strike action and protests on 3 April, meanwhile those representing public sector workers have also called for mobilisation. Nine of the main unions representing teachers and school staff called for nation-wide strikes to raise awareness for "job cuts and deteriorating working conditions". As for public sector workers, unions (CGT, UNSA, FSU and Solidaires) have called for widespread mobilisation. They are pushing for an increase in salaries and against changes to sick leave policy. Unions for both teachers and civil servants are also calling for a repeal of the 2023 pension reform.
