France - Mobilisation of psychologists - October 31, 2025

Psychologists working in health, social services, education, justice and local administrations mobilised on 9 October 2025. The action was coordinated by the Collectif des psychologues UFMICT-CGT Santé Action sociale, Collectif des psychologues territoriales UFICT-CGT, FSU, Fédération Française des Psychologues et de la Psychologie (FFPP) and Société Française de Psychologie (SFP). The mobilisation drew broad participation across hospitals, child-protection services and public institutions, with unions demanding fair pay, recognition of qualifications and urgent recruitment to fill thousands of vacancies. They criticised the spread of outsourcing, excessive workloads and performance-based management practices that erode professional ethics.
