The median nominal increase in statutory minimum wages across 22 EU countries in 2025 was 6.2%. After adjusting for inflation, this resulted in a real increase of 3.8%. This is concluded in a new report from WSI, the Institute for Economic and Social Research of the Hans Böckler Foundation, that examines recent developments in statutory minimum wages across the EU. It provides data on nominal and real wage increases and assesses progress toward meeting adequacy benchmarks set by the European Minimum Wage Directive.
