Denmark - Union formulates goals for 2026 negotiations - October 31, 2025

Union FOA's executive board has studied 3,000 demands from members for the 2026 bargaining round and prioritized the goals that the union is now pursuing. Wage increases for all employees, especially for low-paid groups; strong spotlight on the working environment, flexibility and well-being; and a model for free choice, which means that individuals can use part of their salary, for example, for a few extra days off or slightly higher pension savings. These are three of the most striking headlines on the proposals for improved conditions that FOA's executive board decided to focus on in the negotiation of a new collective agreement for employees in the public sector next year.
