The Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions (ČMKOS) welcomes the decision of the Senate of the Parliament, which approved the so-called “flexi” amendment to the Labour Code in the wording previously adopted by the Chamber of Deputies – i.e. without the introduction of the institute of dismissal without giving a reason. In accordance with the resolution of the ČMKOS Council of 17 March 2025, ČMKOS cancelled the strike alert, which it declared as an expression of disagreement with the original proposal threatening the basic security of employees. ČMKOS continues to advocate the modernization of labour law based on social dialogue, not unilateral weakening of employees’ rights.
