On 24 September 2025, the unions and Government met for the second time but failed to reach an agreement on public-sector wage increases. The unions had demanded a 7% increase across-the-board and 13% for lower-paid professions, while the Government countered with a proposal of 5–6% generally. The standoff continues, and the ČMKOS (Czech-Moravian Confederation of Trade Unions) is warning that if negotiations stall, protest action might follow in key sectors.
