Cyprus - Social welfare sector strikes - September 30, 2025

Employees in the social welfare sector staged a 24‑hour strike over a dispute concerning the coordination of disability programs. The union PASYDY criticized the Government’s unilateral approach. The Deputy Ministry defended ongoing talks and urged a return to dialogue. PASYDY later announced the action was successful and that no further strikes are planned for now.
