The Government has taken a major step toward modernising its public service by approving a bill regulating teleworking and flexible working arrangements. The Council of Ministers approved the measure on 25 June 2025. The Bill introduces mixed teleworking, allowing employees to work remotely on certain days while maintaining regular on-site duties. A detailed manual with guidelines for departments and workers will be issued once the law is passed by the House of Representatives. Teleworking will only be available for roles where tasks can be performed remotely with the necessary technological tools.
