Workers across the country staged a nationwide three‑hour general strike demanding the full reinstatement of the Cost‑of‑Living Adjustment (CoLA). The action disrupted airports, public services, hospitals, transport and citizen service centres. Union leaders argued that the partial implementation of CoLA at 66.67% is inadequate to protect workers’ purchasing power amid rising inflation.
