Croatia - Breakthrough in insurance sector - September 30, 2025

The insurance sector saw a breakthrough in collective bargaining. On 1 September 2025, Croatia Osiguranje and the sectoral union signed a new collective agreement, enhancing employee benefits including a rise in the Christmas bonus from € 300 to € 400 net, and holiday bonus from € 250 to € 300 net as of 2026. This deal signals renewed momentum in wage development and social dialogue in the financial sector. Observers note that it could become a benchmark for other sectors entering negotiations later this year.
