95% of workers are dissatisfied with their salary, shows a survey conducted by Podkrepa Confederation of Labour. 91% of the respondents in the representative survey said that they receive a net income of less than 2,500 BGN (€ 1,250) and only 8% earn more than this. According to Podkrepa, the share of working poor earning less than BGN 1,100 (€ 550) is 24%. Two-thirds of the working population earn between 1,100 BGN (€ 550) and 2,500 BGN (€ 1,250). 36% of workers receive bonuses in addition to their salaries. 85% of respondents support the idea that a tax-free minimum is necessary. 99% are in favour of annual wage indexation.
