After a 10-day strike, employees of the can factory Benepack in Genk are returning to work. The local management has agreed to the demands of the unions. For example, there will be additional workers, temporary workers will receive a permanent contract after a maximum of 24 months and work will be done on safety on the various production lines. The strike days will also be paid and the staff will receive a bonus. According to the union ABVV Metal, the employer has seen that the solidarity of the workers could not be broken.
