The negotiations for the 2025 collective agreement of the Upper Austrian religious hospitals led to an agreement after six rounds. The main result is an increase in wages, salaries and allowances of 3.5%. The union members supported the negotiation result with a clear majority. The collective agreement is valid from 1 January 2025. In addition to the improved pay, employees benefit from an extension of the so-called time bonus regulation. From 1 May 2025, employees can carry over 48 hours per year into the next year; after 10 or 20 years of service, the number of hours increases again by 8 hours each. 31 December is now considered a full day off.
