A collective agreement was reached in the glass and glassworks industry during the second round of negotiations, which took place on 4 June 2025. As a result, the approximately 5,500 employees (3,400 blue-collar workers, 2,100 white-collar workers) will receive higher wages, salaries, allowances, and travel expenses allowances starting 1 June 2025. Apprentices in the companies will also benefit from higher apprenticeship incomes. The starting point for this year's wage negotiations was the rolling inflation rate of 2.65%, which was undisputed by both negotiating parties. The collectively agreed minimum wages and salaries will be increased by 2.65%. Actual wages and salaries will be increased by 2.2%, up to a maximum of € 100.
