4.2% wage increase and reduced working hours, but in different ways in different industries. It is the demand from Unionen and the other unions in industry, which sets the "mark" for all wage earners. It is time to change the pace of wage increases. That is the message from the trade unions in the industry when they present their demands for the 2025 collective bargaining. According to Unionen, the wage increases will lead to the employees' purchasing power soon recovering after the inflationary shock of the pandemic years. According to the unions, this will take 3-5 years. The unions also demand "additional provisions" for shorter working hours.
