The Government wants to investigate a regulation of teachers' working hours. The Swedish Teachers' Union welcomes the investigation. But Sweden's Municipalities and Regions (SKR) are critical and accuse the Government of going against the rules of the game in the Swedish model. Last year, the Government appointed the inquiry "A reduced administrative burden for preschool teachers and teachers", which is tasked with proposing measures that can free up time for teaching. Now the investigator has also been tasked with reviewing how the teachers' teaching time and time for before and after work can be regulated. The time for teaching has not been regulated since 1995.
