Sweden - Gender pay gap of 10% - June 30, 2024

The pay gap between women and men in 2023 amounted to 10.0%. This meant an increase of 0.1 percentage points compared to 2022. This is shown by a new report from the Mediation Institute. Since 2019, the pay gap has basically remained unchanged. Since 2001, the Mediation Institute has annually analyzed the wage trend from an equality perspective. Differences in pay can be due to a variety of factors. If, using standard weighting, the explanatory factors available in the statistics are taken into account, there remained an unexplained difference between the sexes of 4.8%.
