The labour minister and representatives of the trade unions CCOO and UGT signed an agreement that provides for a reduction in the working week from the current 40 hours to 37.5 hours without any reduction in pay. The employers' organisations have refused to sign up to the text. It is due to be submitted shortly to the Council of Ministers for approval, before being put to a vote in parliament.
