Slovenia - Wage increase in public sector - December 31, 2024

The Government and trade unions have signed a collective agreement that foresees an increase in wages in the public sector until 2028. The public sector wage system applies to the entire public sector, and the wage increase applies to approximately 190.000 public sector employees. Estimates are that the basic salaries of civil servants will increase by an average of 19%, which means an average increase of € 380 gross. The unions and the Government have agreed to assess every four years the effect of the increase in the minimum wage and wages in the public sector and to take the necessary measures.
