The minimum wage will rise to 60% of the national average wage in 2024 from 2026. This means it will rise to € 816 next year, up from € 700 last year and € 750 this year. However, it will not stop there, as it could increase to € 920 in 2026, and € 970 a year later. The new methodology will lead to a considerable increase in the minimum wage, currently standing at 57%. Some 200,000 workers will be affected by the minimum wage increase.
