The secretary of the Council of the Union of Independent Trade Unions of Serbia (SSSS) said that the proposal of the Ministry of Finance to increase the minimum wage in 2025 by 8 to 10% is absolutely unacceptable and even insulting to them. Unions and employers have presented their views on the amount of the minimum wage for 2025, negotiations continue. The unions demand that it be higher than 60.000 dinars. The SSSS demands an increase in the minimum wage so that it amounts to 60% of the average consumption basket or the average wage, because that would protect the standard of the most vulnerable workers.
