Serbia - Salary increases for public sector workers - September 30, 2024

The President of the republic stated that the entire public sector will receive a salary increase of 8%, while teachers and preschool educators will receive a 12% raise. If inflation is 4.2%, this constitutes a real increase in the standard of living, not only for teachers, but also for preschool educators, he added. The Government has already initiated negotiations with some foreign universities to bring them to Serbia, to reduce study costs for local students.
