Romania - Protest against pay cut at natural gas company - January 31, 2024

Some 500 employees of natural gas company Romgaz are going to protest against the management’s plans to cut wages by 5.8% and budget fewer bonuses this year after the payroll increased by 14% in January-September last year. The company employs over 5,000 workers. The management is preparing to renegotiate with the representative trade union the collective agreement, which expires in spring this year.
