The draft ordinance for budgetary measures adopted at the end of each year, provides for substantial limitations on state spending in 2025, ranging from freezing the salaries of public sector employees, student scholarships, or allowances for veterans to blocking state employment. The latest version of the ordinance was published by trade union Solidaritatea Sanitara. The version received from the Government provides for the freezing of public sector salaries in 2025 at the level of December 2024, the same provision also applying to the allowances of dignitaries and local elected officials.
