Poland - Public service workers protest over pay and working conditions - November 30, 2024

Public service workers staged a protest in front of the Social Dialogue Council in Warsaw, demanding improved pay and working conditions. The action highlighted growing frustration over stagnant wages and the lack of progress in addressing long-standing issues affecting workers in these fields. Protesters specifically demanded a 15% wage indexation to address the impact of rising inflation, which has significantly eroded their purchasing power. They also called for increased funding for public services to tackle inadequate staffing levels and improve working conditions, which they argue are placing unsustainable pressure on workers.
