In the housing sector, the trade union Delta reached a new agreement with Virke, the employer association, securing a general wage increase of NOK 20,475 (€ 1,736) annually, along with a substantial increase in minimum wage levels effective from 1 May 2024. The agreement also improves shift differentials, raising evening, night, and weekend allowances, which is especially beneficial for workers covering unsocial hours. Additionally, the daily meal allowance was raised, reflecting a broader commitment to improve overall welfare conditions for these workers.
