Netherlands - Striking pays off in the brick industry - October 31, 2024

After a warning strike, the employers in the brick industry submitted an improved offer. The final offer includes a 4.25% pay increase on 1 May 2024, and a 3.25% increase on1 May 2025. The term of the collective agreement has been extended by two months, until 30 September 2025. The compensation for travel expenses will increase from € 0.19 to € 0.23 per kilometer, effective from 1 September 2024. The union members now have to vote whether they accept this offer.
