Despite threatening language from their employer, employees of semiconductor manufacturer NXP are going on strike for the second time in a week. The reason is the stalled negotiations about, among other things, better wages and an employer who does not give in. Whereas the employer only offers a wage increase of 3% for 14 months, the union FNV demands a pay increase of at least 9%. The multinational NXP has approximately 3,000 employees in the Netherlands.
