After months of consultation, the trade unions BVPP, CNV and FNV reached a negotiation result with PostNL on 15 October for a new collective agreement. It have been intensive and difficult negotiations because PostNL wanted to include many (major) deteriorations in the collective agreement in response to the increasingly poor financial position of the company. The unions were able to remove many deteriorations from the bargaining table, but not all. The collective agreement will have a term of 27 months: from 1 April 2024 to 30 June 2026. During this period, there will be a structural pay increase of 7%: 2.5% as of 1 July 2024, and three times 1.5% as of 1 January 2025, 1 July 2025, and 1 January 2026. Young employees aged 18 will receive the wages of adult employees as of 1 January 2025. PostNL will also employ 200 temporary workers during the term of this collective agreement.
