Netherlands - New agreement for gardeners - November 30, 2024

On 28 November at the end of the fifth round of negotiations the union FNV succeeded in reaching a new collective agreement in the gardening sector. Wages will increase by a total of 7% in three steps: 2.5% as of 1 January 2025, 2% as of 1 July 2025, and 2.5% as of 1 January 2026. The lower starting wage rates will be abolished. Youth will receive the adult wage from the age of 20. The travel expenses allowance will be €0.23 per km. Loading and unloading tools counts as working time, but putting on work clothes and PPE remains own time.
