Netherlands - Agreement in confectionery industry - June 30, 2024

In the fourth round of negotiations between unions and the employers in the confectionery industry, an agreement was reached. The collective agreement will have a term of two years. The main points in the agreement are: a wage increase of 7% in four steps, with a 0.5% increase on 1 October 2024, an increase by 3% on 1 January 2025, a further increase by 2% on 1 October 2025, and an increase by 2% on 1 April 2026. As of 1 January 2025, the collective agreement foresses that hygienic actions and transfers fall under working hours. There will be a minimum travel expenses scheme.
