Netherlands - Agreement for secondary education - December 31, 2024

The unions reached a new collective agreement with the employers in secondary education (VO-raad). The term is from 1 October 2024 to 31 October 2025. The agreement will structurally increase the salary by 4.9% from 1 January 2025. This increase will affect the pension accrual and the statutory benefits. This fully compensates for inflation and even results in an improvement in purchasing power. Over the period from 1 October to 31 December 2024, employees will receive a one-off payment of 1.23%. This payment includes the retroactive effect of the salary from 1 October to 31 December 2024, the growth of the end-of-year bonus and the 13th month.
