The salaries of employees of fruit and vegetable wholesalers will increase by 6.1%. The members of the unions voted in large majority in favour of the agreement with the employers' organization GFH. Wages will increase in two steps. As of July 1, employees will receive an additional 3.1%. On January 1, 2025, an additional 3% will be added. The salary scale for 19-year-olds will be abolished as of July 1, 2024. The union has agreed with GFH that the salary scale for 20-year-olds will also be abolished in the next collective bargaining round. The travel allowance for employees will increase from €0.10 per kilometer to €0.15. In the new collective agreement, interns receive a standard internship allowance of € 300 per month. The new collective agreement has a term of 12 months, from July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2025. The wholesalers employ approximately 14,800 employees.
