A new collective agreement for the auxiliary and care sector (SAS) will come into effect on 1 January 2025, marking a significant step forward for employees in the sector. The agreement, which will run for three years, was announced by representatives of employers and trade unions, including COPAS, FEDAS, the OGBL, and the LCGB. The new agreement introduces several benefits for employees. Salaries in the first three career paths will see a linear increase of five points. Additionally, a one-off bonus of € 3,670 will be paid to all employees under contract as of 1 January 2025, prorated to working hours. A holiday bonus equivalent to 42 index points, prorated to working hours, will be introduced from June 2025 and paid annually. The contract applies to approximately 10,000 workers in the care sector.
