Italy - Unions announce strike - March 31, 2024

Unions CGIL and UIL announce a 4-hour general strike for all private sectors on 11 April over a number of labour-related issues including workplace safety, union representation, health sector policies and tax reform. The objectives and reasons for the strike are: better health and safety at work, a fair tax reform and a new social and business model. The unions want to put the value of work back at the center of the economic and social policies of the government and companies starting from the renewal of national contracts and a law on representation.
