Workers in the non-profit sector, including those employed in social care, healthcare, and educational services, held a national strike, led by trade unions affiliated with the confederations CGIL, CISL and UIL. The strike was caused by the failure to renew the national agreement, which has been expired for nearly five years. The agreement affects around 135,000 employees. Rallies and events took place across the country. Negotiations with the employers' association, Uneba, have been ongoing for over two years but with limited progress. The unions emphasized that the agreement renewal must meet both economic and regulatory expectations, aligning with recent agreements in the sector.
