Minimum wage and collective bargaining rights were being debated by Parliament as a new bill went to a vote. The bill proposed looks to integrate the EU Minimum Wage Directive into law, and readjust salaries. What the bill does specifically is firm up current practice of the minimum wage being determined by the Government, rather than through negotiations between unions and employers, and introduces a specific formula to calculate the minimum wage.
