After months of negotiations union ver.di and Discover Airline, a daughter company of Lufthansa, have reached a new collective agreement. In three years’ time, wages will rise by up to 38%. For the approximately 500 cockpit employees, pay increases by 5% annually. Overall, income increases by 15.7%. Further pay increases will be achieved through additional step increases in the remuneration system. For the approximately 1,400 cabin employees who, unlike cockpit employees, did not receive any pay increases at the beginning of the year, wages will increase by € 450 per month from 2024. In the following years, remuneration will also be increased by 5% annually. This corresponds to a total increase of 34.1% to 38.4%. Further increases will be achieved by increasing the allowance for senior flight attendants on board. This allowance will be increased by 40%.
