Germany - New bargaining framework and collective agreement in housing industry - December 31, 2024

From 1 January 2025, the collective framework agreement and the collective agreement on job security and promotion will be replaced and new regulations will come into force in the housing industry. In the future, the additional holiday pay will be calculated as a percentage and increases with the salary. Since 1 July 2024, it will be at least 60% of the salary in July. Better company agreements will remain in place. Long-term employees will receive additional paid days off in the future. Extended notice periods apply to employers and employees: After 5 years of service: 3 months at the end of the quarter. After 8 years of service: 4 months at the end of the quarter. On 1 February 2025, wages and salaries will increase by 2.6%, training allowances by € 30 per year. The collective agreement runs until 31 October 2025.
