Germany - Collective agreement for electrical industry - September 30, 2024

IG Metall Berlin-Brandenburg-Saxony has reached a collective agreement with the Berlin/Brandenburg State Guild Association of Electrical and Information Technology Craftsmen. The agreement means a significant pay increase for employees in two stages. From 1 January 2025, wages for the 100% level E6 pay group will increase by 4.05% to € 18.75. From 1 January 2026, there will be a further increase of 4% to € 19.50. Based on a basic wage of currently € 18.02, the additional monthly earnings from 2025 will be € 127 and, together with 2026, € 257. The monthly income will thus rise to € 3,393. The wages for the other groups are calculated according to the percentage levels from E6. The wages for pay group E1 correspond to the industry minimum wage. The collective agreement has a term of 24 months and can be terminated on 31 December 2026.
