The trade Union IG Metall has reached a collective agreement with the employers' associations for the carpentry trade in the northwest. Wages will increase by 3% on 1 February 2025 and by a further 2.4% on 1 February 2026. Trainees will also get a higher aallowance. Their wages will increase by € 70 per month for all years of training on 1 February 2025 and by a further € 60 on 1 February 2026. In addition, the collectively agreed holiday will increase to 31 days after 10 years of employment. The collective agreement can be terminated for the first time on 30 November 2026.
