The new collective agreement for filmmakers limits daily working hours to a maximum of 12 hours. In addition, there are surcharges for overtime over 10 hours of work. In addition, weekly working hours over 50 hours are compensated with an additional 25 or 50%. Together with the introduction of an additional paid day off for every 20 days of shooting or a pro rata entitlement to time credits in the time account, these regulations compensate for long working hours, normally through a 4-day week per month. These new regulations will come into force from May 2025. The salaries will be increased twice by 2.5% from May 2025 and January 2026. The entry-level salaries for actors will rise to € 1,050 per day. Together with improvements to e-casting in the acting collective agreement, this will be set in parallel with the salary collective agreement with a term until the end of 2026. The collective agreement runs until the end of August 2027.
