Germany - Agreement for temporary workers - March 31, 2024

The approximately 700,000 employees in the temporary employment sector will get a pay increase from October 2024. The DGB unions and the General Association of Personnel Service Providers (GVP) have agreed that wages will rise by a total of 7.6% in two stages. The gap to the legal minimum wage is thus significantly increased. The DGB unions, together with the employers, will request that pay group 1 be declared the industry minimum wage again. The new collective agreement has a term of 18 months and can be terminated for the first time on 30 September 2025.
