The Government approved an increase in the monthly minimum wage to € 886 and hourly minimum wage to € 5.31, effective 1 January. Next year's new minimum wage marks an increase of € 66, or 8%. The increase is based on the collective agreement signed by the Estonian Trade Union Confederation (EAKL) and the Estonian Employers' Confederation (ETK) on 18 November. This year's gross monthly minimum wage was € 820. According to Estonian Tax and Customs Board (MTA) figures, as of the first nine months of 2024, an average of 16,600 full-time employees were earning the minimum wage, accounting for 3.5% of all full-time employees.
