The Armed Forces and union HKKF have finalised a new agreement on the organisation and remuneration of 24-hour snow and ambulance emergency services. This agreement addresses concerns about inconsistent remuneration practices and unclear guidelines for members activated for such deployments. Under the agreement, workers deployed in snow and ambulance services for at least 24 hours will receive a daily supplement of DKK 2,251.05 (€ 302). Effective from 1 November 2024, it standardises practices and eliminates local variations that had caused frustration among members. Workers cannot claim both the new supplement and night pay or leave simultaneously. Accommodation must adhere to business travel regulations but may deviate from hotel standards due to deployability and weather conditions.
